About UmberSea

Who runs it

UmberSea is run by a software engineer based in Ireland with a background in web and cloud software, mostly React and AWS. It exists to build products we own and operate, rather than only products we build for others.

How we work

We keep the architecture legible: well-understood AWS services, infrastructure defined in code, automated deployment pipelines, and payments handled through Stripe. We use AI-assisted development where it speeds up the work without hiding how the system works. Each product is a separate codebase with its own site, so it can be run, sold or retired on its own.

We prefer one product that runs well to three that need attention, and we say what a product does plainly, without invented numbers.
